Definitions

In this Policy,

1). Personal Information

Any information recorded electronically or otherwise that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify a specific natural person or reflect the activity of a specific natural person.

2). Sensitive Personal Information

Includes personal biometric information (including facial data. Gvdpac App collects users' facial images to generate facial feature data. Specifically, when users register their face within the app, they must agree to the "Face Agreement" and the App will capture one or more facial photos via the camera.), communication records and content, health information, transaction information, precise location information, etc. When providing specific products or services involving the collection of sensitive personal information, we will obtain your consent through prominent and clear notice before collection.

3). Smart Device

Non-standard computing devices manufactured by hardware manufacturers, featuring a human-machine interface and capable of transmitting information via wireless networks.

4). Application

Refers to the mobile application developed by us that assists end-users in remotely controlling smart devices.

1. What Personal Information Do We Collect?

To provide our services, we may require you to provide necessary personal information. Failure to provide such information may prevent us from offering you the corresponding products or services.

1.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide to Us

1.1.1 Account Registration Information

When you register an account on Gvdpac App, we collect your account name and contact information, including your email address, phone number, username, and login credentials. During your interaction with our products, we may further collect your nickname, country and country code, language preference, or time zone information associated with your account.

1.1.2 User Feedback

When you submit feedback or suggestions related to our services, we collect the email address or phone number you provide, the feedback content (including images or videos added), and issue logs submitted. This information is used to promptly address issues with the application or smart devices.

Additionally, depending on the specific application product or service, we may collect corresponding necessary personal information to provide you with that product or service.

1.2 Information Collected Based on Provided Additional Functions

To provide you with more convenient and better products/services and enhance your experience, we may collect and use your personal information for the following additional services. If you do not provide this information, it will not affect your use of the basic services of the application, but you may not be able to enjoy the user experience brought by these additional features. These additional services include:

1.2.1 Additional Services Based on Location Information

When you enable the location function of your mobile device through system authorization and use location-based services, we collect and use your location information to facilitate connecting the App with smart devices. You can disable location services in your device's system settings to stop us from collecting your location information.

1.2.2 Additional Services for Photo/Video Album (Gallery/Video Library) Access and Upload

After you enable album permission, you can use this function to upload photos/images/videos, for example, to provide evidence when reporting device usage issues. We use the uploaded photos/images to diagnose your problem.

1.2.3 Additional Services Based on Storage Permission

We request this permission to ensure the stable operation of the client application. After you grant us permission to read/write to your device's storage, we may read or write necessary information such as images, files, and crash log information from/to your device's storage. This is used to provide functions like information publishing or locally recording crash logs.

1.2.4 Additional Functions Based on Message Notification Permission

We request this permission to send you notifications about products or services. This is particularly important for sending alerts related to services you have purchased, allowing you to stay informed of real-time situations.

1.2.5 Additional Functions Based on "Floating Window"

We request this permission to allow you to view real-time camera feeds in a floating window when you have bound a camera within the application.

You understand and agree that the above additional services require you to enable access permissions for your location (geographical location), photo album (gallery), internal/external storage, and "floating window" on your device to facilitate the collection and use of information covered by these permissions. You can check the status of these permissions one by one in your device settings and decide to enable or disable them at any time. Please note that enabling any permission constitutes your authorization for us to collect and use relevant personal information to provide the corresponding service. Disabling a permission constitutes withdrawal of your authorization, after which we will no longer continue collecting and using relevant personal information based on that permission and cannot provide the service corresponding to that permission. However, your decision to disable a permission will not affect the information collection and use conducted based on your prior authorization.

1.3 Information Automatically Collected by Us

1.3.1 Mobile Device Information

When you interact with our products, to ensure normal service usage, maintain service operation, improve and optimize our service experience, and protect your account security, we automatically collect mobile device information, including mobile device model, login IP address, wireless connection information, operating system type and version, application version number, push notification identifier, log files, and mobile network information. Additionally, we collect your software version number.

1.3.2 Usage Information

Facial data is stored on our servers and used solely for access control face recognition. The specific process is: users capture a facial photo within the App, the photo is uploaded to our server, and the server then sends the facial feature data to the corresponding door access device. After completing facial registration, users can open the door using the face recognition function on the access device. Facial data is used exclusively for providing you with door access services and not for any other purpose such as identity verification, advertising, or analysis.

During your interaction with our website and services, we automatically collect usage information related to access, clicks, downloads, sending/receiving messages, and other usage of our website and services.

1.3.3 Log Information

When you use our application, to enhance your user experience, system and exception logs may be uploaded for analysis. This includes your IP address, preferred language, operating system version, access date and time, enabling us to accurately identify issues and help resolve problems encountered during service use. Please note that isolated mobile device information and service log information cannot identify a specific natural person. If we combine such non-personal information with other information to identify a specific natural person, or use it in combination with personal information, it will be treated as personal information during the period of combined use. Unless we obtain your authorization or unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations, we will anonymize or de-identify such information.

We process your account information, mobile device information, usage information, location information, and smart device-related information to provide the products and services you request.

2.2 To improve our services:

We process your mobile device information, usage information, location information, and smart device-related information to ensure the functionality and security of our products, develop and improve our products and services, analyze our operational efficiency, and prevent and track fraudulent or improper use.

2.3 Non-marketing communications:

We process your personal information to send you important information related to the services, changes to terms/conditions/policies, and/or other administrative information.

2.4 Compliance:

We process your personal information only when required by law to disclose it, or when we deem it necessary or appropriate to:

2.4.1 Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or requests from public institutions and government authorities;

Additionally, to ensure the stable operation of the application or implement related independent functions, we may embed third-party SDKs within the application. Please note that the types of personal information processed by third-party SDKs may change due to version upgrades or policy adjustments. JPush (Aurora Push):

Types of Personal Information Involved: Device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, SIM card serial number, IMSI), application information (e.g., package name, version number, and running status), network information (e.g., IP or domain connection results, current network type).

Purpose of Use: Push messages.

Usage Scenario: Used for pushing messages on mobile devices.

Third Party: Aurora (JPush).

4. Self-Starting and Associated Start-Up Instructions

To ensure that this application can properly receive broadcast information pushed from the client even when it is closed or running in the background, this application needs to use the (auto-start) capability. There may be a certain frequency of sending broadcasts through the system to wake up the application for auto-start or associated start, which is necessary for realizing functions and services.

When you open push messages containing content within the App, it may jump to open relevant content within the App after obtaining your explicit consent. Without your consent, no associated start will occur.

When you open a file downloaded within the App, it may associatedly start a third-party App.

5. Transfer of Collected Information

We operate globally, so the personal information collected under this Policy may be transferred, stored, and processed in different countries or regions. The laws and regulations applicable in our operating location may differ from those in your country of residence, but we will strictly comply with laws and requirements related to personal information protection. Therefore, within the framework of personal information protection, to facilitate our operations, we may transfer personal information to countries or regions where we conduct business. Regardless of where your information is stored, our privacy and security practices are designed to provide global protection for your personal information, employing strict security measures (such as encryption, access control) to protect the data.

This includes mechanisms where the European Commission has determined that certain countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland provide adequate protection for personal information. When personal information of users in the EEA, Switzerland, or the UK is transferred to recipients located in countries outside these regions that are not deemed to have adequate protection levels, we ensure compliance with the "EU Standard Contractual Clauses" for such transfers.

Specifically, personal information collected and generated during our operations within the mainland of the People's Republic of China will be stored and processed in data centers within the mainland of China, except where cross-border transfer is permitted under applicable law.

We ensure your right to withdraw consent through the following means: As described above, you can withdraw your consent by changing device permissions through your application's mobile system permission settings or the permission settings obtained in the device system settings, including permissions related to location, camera, photo album (gallery/video library), message notifications, and related functions.

Please note that withdrawing your consent or authorization may prevent us from continuing to provide the services corresponding to the withdrawn authorization. However, such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.

7. Information Security Safeguard Measures

We take commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to maintain the integrity and security of your personal information. We provide multiple security strategies to effectively ensure the information security of users and devices.

7.1 Device Access: We employ algorithms to ensure data isolation, access authentication, and authorization requests.

7.2 Data Communication: We support the use of security algorithms, encrypted transmission protocols, and commercial-grade information encryption transmission based on dynamic keys for communication.

7.3 Data Processing: We implement strict data filtering and validation, along with complete data audit processes.

7.4 Data Storage: All confidential user information is securely encrypted for storage.

In addition to technical safeguards, we have also established a series of security protections at the institutional and control levels, including assigning specific responsibilities, conducting security and privacy protection training courses, enhancing employee data protection awareness, and controlling access permissions to prevent data loss, illegal use, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

In the event of a security incident affecting your personal information security, we will notify you promptly through your reserved email address, phone number, or message center push, providing suggestions on how to mitigate or prevent related risks. If necessary, we will take timely remedial measures according to our internal security incident emergency plan and report to relevant authorities as required.

8. Information Retention Period

We will process your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this Policy or as required by laws and regulations, unless a longer retention period is required by specific legal requirements. We determine the appropriate retention period based on the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information. After the retention period ends, we will destroy your personal information.

8.1 We retain information to provide you with requested products and services according to this Policy;

8.2 When you explicitly request deletion of your personal information, we will set this as a task and no longer retain your personal information.

When we confirm that the purpose of collecting and processing personal information based on 1) has been achieved, or after we confirm your deletion or account cancellation request based on 2), or after we terminate the operation of the corresponding product or service, we will stop retaining and delete your personal information (including personal facial data). Facial feature data on access control devices will also be cleared when the user deletes it or resets the device. Generally, once the specified information retention period is reached, we will no longer retain your personal information. If we are unable to destroy the information for technical reasons, causing the retention of personal information to exceed the storage period, we will take appropriate measures to prevent further use of your personal information, including anonymization.

9. Account Cancellation

You can apply to cancel your account through the following methods:

9.1 After unbinding all door locks under the current account and returning all management permissions for those door locks, you can submit an account cancellation request via the left menu: Settings - Cancel Account. Upon successful submission, the account will be canceled in real-time.

9.2 Contact our customer support to apply for account cancellation. We will notify you promptly upon successful cancellation.

After you voluntarily cancel your account, we will stop providing you with products or services and will delete or anonymize your personal information as required by applicable law.

10. Protection of Children's Personal Information

We place great importance on protecting children's personal information. If you are under the age of 14 (or the age specified by regulations in your country/region), you need to obtain prior written consent from your parent or legal guardian before using our services. We protect children's personal information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of various regions, countries, or areas. Please note that if we discover that a child's personal information has been collected without verifiable parental or legal guardian consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
